March 12 – Update: Ames on MANDATORY Telework and Restricted Access

The health and safety of the Ames community continues to be of the upmost concern and top priority. We continue to take action to prevent further transmission, to continue safeguarding our center, and especially to protect our workforce and community. Ames Research Center remains on mandatory telework and restricted access through at least March 13, 2020.

Contact tracing of potentially affected employees is virtually complete. Beginning March 11, key areas of the center will have enhanced cleaning, including, but not limited to, high-traffic and common areas such as, Mega Bites, SpaceBar and building conference rooms. The center will maintain a higher level of cleaning until further notice.

For information about center access to retrieve materials for continued telework, guidance on timecards and travel, and assistance with counseling services, please contact your supervisor.

Should you be made aware of concerning information regarding COVID-19 at Ames, please pass that information to management.

As COVID-19 has now touched one in our own community, our thoughts and full support are with the affected employee. The employee is doing well and is now recuperating at home.
